But how much does a safari cost me?

Sometimes the cost of a safari may seem high and for us at AfriSafaris it is important to explain how and why!
First of all, it must be said that the cost of a safari can vary greatly depending on certain characteristics:

• The time of the year chosen to travel: if low, medium or high season, seasonality changes according to the climate in Tanzania, but also to the most important holiday periods in Italy, such as holidays, bridges and clearly summer months.
• The type of accommodation: on the price also affects the type of accommodation chosen, the lodges and tented camps can be 3-4- 5 stars, with very different characteristics among them, remember that we are in Africa! Furthermore, it is important to distinguish whether they are located inside or outside the national park that one wants to visit.
• Treatment: the number of meals included in the package, we call the full board, the journey is much more manageable and smooth in its development if it is already all organized, but it is clear that if only breakfast is included the or only the picnic lunch the price will be lower than full board
• The number of people who occupy the same car: our Jeep Land Cruiser 4x4 / Land Rover 4x4 with opening sunroof are always for exclusive use, with private guide / driver dedicated only to you, clearly if you are in 2 compared to being in 4 or 6 the costs to be subdivided change considerably, putting 4 or 6 people on a jeep lower prices.
• Number, type of parks that you visit and number of nights spent in the park itself.

Normally the safaris organized by AfriSafaris have the following characteristics:
Exclusive 4x4 jeep - Italian / English expert guides (other languages ​​on request) - Full board - Entrance fees to parks incl. government taxes - Water and drinks on board the jeep during the safari.

Attention: for information below, a generic price table of the cost of a safari in Tanzania is shown below (excluding the day of arrival where only a transfer with overnight stay can be expected)

- TOURIST Category (Lodge / simple tented camp): average price of 350 Euro per person, per day
- Category COMFORT (Lodge / semipermanent tented camp 2-3 *): average price of 400 Euro per person, per day
- SUPERIOR category (Lodge / semipermanent tented camp 3-4 *): average price of 450 Euro per person, per day
- LUXURY Category (Lodge / semipermanent tented camp 4-5 *): average price of 520 Euro per person, per day

Prices are based on Safari base 2 adults in Jeep for private use.

It is very important to take into account the seasonality and location, inside or outside the parks, lodges / tented camps.

In the case of 4-6 occupants in the same jeep, important reductions are expected that can reach 20%. Children, based on age (up to 12 years), enjoy reduced prices.
