6 days / 5 nights, Manyara - Serengeti – Ngorongoro

The safari that allows you to reach the legendary Serengeti park, perhaps the most famous in Africa! You will descend into the caldera of the extinct Ngorongoro volcano; you can see for yourself how the Masai population lives, take a photo safari in the small park Manyara with its beautiful lake full of pink flamingos. An itinerary that will leave you a few days anyway to combine a sea holiday in Zanzibar on the coast of Tanzania or one of the other islands.
This itinerary is aimed at all those who wish to combine a more complete safari without having to give up a few days at sea on the splendid beaches that Tanzania has to offer!

Day 1 - Arrival / Arusha

Depending on your operational flight arrival at Arusha / Kilimanjaro airport, meeting with the guide and transfer to your lodge near Arusha, overnight stay.

Day 2 - Parco del Manyara

Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure for the Manyara park, a day dedicated to the photo safari in the picnic lunch park; late afternoon arrival at the lodge / tented camp, dinner and overnight stay.
The Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania is located just below the Rift Valley escarpment and consists of a strip of land about 50 km long and between 6 and 8 km wide. The lake that rises inside the park is an alkaline water lake. The ecosystem of the Manyara park, given precisely by the presence of the lake, is unique of its kind among the parks of the north and you will therefore have the opportunity to cross entire wooded areas alternated with flat and open areas, you will be able to see pink flamingos, elephants, baboons, many species of birds (there are 500 different ones) and the famous lions that climb trees!

Day 3 - Serengeti Park

Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure for the Serengeti, picnic lunch and arrival at the park in the early afternoon. First afternoon game drive in the Serengeti. At sunset, arrival at the lodge / tent camp chosen within the park, dinner and overnight stay. The Serengeti National Park is unquestionably the most famous of the protected natural areas of East Africa, has a surface area of ​​14,763 km² and is famous above all for its exceptional faunal richness. There are, among other things, all five so-called "big five": elephant, lion, leopard, rhinoceros (black) and buffalo.
The phenomenon perhaps best known and admired of the park, in addition to its wonderful landscape is the phenomenon of herbivore migration: about 1 million wildebeests and zebras that during the year move in search of new pastures based on seasonal rains; this mass movement of animals can be admired throughout the year within the various areas of the park; crossing the Mara river normally takes place in July and September.


Day 4 - Serengeti

Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp, full day dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti park
Picnic lunch in the park, at sunset return to the lodge, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 - Ngorongoro

Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure at dawn for a last photo game in the Sergenti park, at the end we will continue towards the Ngorongoro crater; during the journey we will reach an altitude of 2,200 meters above sea level and then descend to around 1,600 meters inside the crater; suitable clothing will therefore be required.
Photo-safari in the caldera, at sunset leaving the park and arriving at the chosen lodge / tented camp, which can be directly on the slopes of the volcano, with an incomparable scenic view on the caldera or in one of the lodges / tented camps adjacent to the park entrance. Dinner and overnight stay.
The Ngorongroro conservation area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 and in 2013 received the award as one of the seven wonders of Africa. The caldera of the extinct Ngorongoro volcano has created a unique ecosystem in the world, a paradise on earth! The concentration of fauna is impressive: it is estimated that it is inhabited by over 25,000 large animals, in the crater you can see most of the typical species of the savannah: elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, jackals, hippos, baboons, cheetahs, leopards, lions.

Day 6 –Arusha / Departure

Breakfast at the lodge / tented camp and departure towards Arusha, possibility to stop for a visit to a Masai village (optional) and meet the population, visit their homes (boma), or take a guided walk in the town of Mto Wa Mbo ( optional) with the possibility of seeing the daily life of a typical Tanzanian town; picnic lunch / restaurant. Depending on the times of your flights, arrive at the national airport for the flight to Zanzibar or other seaside locations or transfer to Kilimanjaro international airport and fly to Europe!

For organizational reasons, the order of visits to the parks may undergo variations without altering their contents.

Your itinerary includes:

• Travel by 4x4 Land Cruiser equipped with openable roof
